I'm the first to admit that I can be pretty anal about food. I am somewhat of a health nut...not full on, but yeah, I'm particular. I don't eat meat, am kinda of obsessive about stuff being organic, would rather eat home normally than go out...the list goes on.
But I am smart enough to know that being obsessed with health all the time is not healthy. Sometimes, you just need to give in (that's the truth). And while most of the time I can hold back from temptation, there is a side of me that cannot.
And there are certain things that are definitely my kryptonite, that I'm powerless against. Those being chocolate, margaritas, mexican food, cake, champagne and um, waffles and pancakes.
So when my husband mentioned Saturday night that we should make waffles the next morning with our new waffle maker (although he was talking with his beer brain and didn't think I would hold him to it, but I did), I said, are you kidding? Hell yes we're doing that. So he made me some delish waffles with maple syrup and berries. By they way, these weren't healthy waffles at all. These were sugary, refined and sigh, delicious.
Okay, so my point is...yes, I'm a health nut, but I can, will and like to party sometimes. Whether that be with margaritas or waffles. You can't be good ALL the time...just 95%. That other 5%, go crazy. That's what I think. You have my permission.
xoxo...Kate
