For some reason I'm experiencing total writer's block right now...okay...let me gather my thoughts. I had delicious waffles my husband made this morning (more about that later) and I think their sugary goodness is making me a little spacey. Plus, I can't lie, I had a late night of staying out past 11 (I know, shocking). Luckily there were no margaritas involved although there was pink champagne. And I'm a sucker for champagne, especially if it's pink. Anyway...sorry for the little detour. Okay, I got it...I'm so sick of this cold weather, right? I need at least something that reminds of me warmer days. Just so happened yesterday we had one of those random 80 degree days that sometimes pop up here in San Diego in the middle of winter. It was hot and felt like summer. Needless to say, I was in heaven. Now it's cooled down again today, but at least I have this homemade body scrub to remind me of what's to come.
Ingredients:
- Sea Salt
- Sunflower Oil
- Safflower Oil
- Grapefruit Essential Oil
- Citronella Essential Oil
Directions:
- Sterilize your glass container and top in boiling water for about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Let it dry completely before using.
- Add salt to the container, then the safflower and sunflower oils and mix.
- After the salt and oils have been completely blended, add three drops of each essential oil and stir.
Enjoy the citrus scents and dream of summer while you're at it.
xoxo...Kate
