Today I had the chance to go to the San Diego Home and Garden Show right here in Del Mar. First of all you couldn't ask for a more beautiful day to get out of the house. Summer is definitely not over in San Diego.
I've always loved interior design so it was neat to see the different rooms decorated in the Main Hall. I especially loved the room in the photographs I took above which was designed by Touch of Tradition. It was so well done and gorgeous! I wish all of you could see it in person.
Of course, I'm a sucker for succulents. They are some of my favorite plants. I have them on our balcony, I even had them in our floral arrangements at our wedding. Honestly, I can't get enough of them! They were very popular at the show with some gorgeous landscape designs outside. Succulents are especially beloved here in San Diego because they don't need much water and we tend to have a pretty dry climate. They're perfect for me too because I haven't gotten that green thumb thing nailed down yet ;)
Today was just the first day of the show, but it's going on all weekend. If you're in the area, I highly recommend coming out to see the displays and check out the vendors. You can get discounted tickets in the link above. They have a ton of free seminars and free interior design consulting for DIY projects.
I'm heading back to the show tomorrow for some more gardening tips and maybe pick up some plants for my balcony makeover (yes, probably more succulents).
Have a great weekend everyone!
xoxo...Kate
