I've been doing a little bit more painting since my one post, Painting Again. I painted this little jewelry box the other night and quite honestly, I can't wait to do another. It's so meditative to me. I just put on some music and go at it. I'm also really trying to apply what I learned from a couple weeks ago. Not to paint with intention, just start and see where it takes you.
So this is the result from the other night...you know I love the ikat look and I'm still feeling summer colors. It's been warm here in San Diego and even though I know fall is right around the corner, I'm hanging on to the last days of summer.
I'm really looking forward to getting home and painting something else. I don't know what it will be at this point...I have no expectations, I just want to do it.
I have all these other projects rattling around in my head too...haha, why can't I just be one of those people that can sit down and do nothing? Ay...
P.S. There is a really, really big fly on my screen and it's scaring me a little. It may even be a bee, I can't tell because it's dark in here. It hasn't moved in like five minutes. Hmmm...
