So I may have hinted at this already here on the blog, but I found out some great news a couple weeks ago regarding the direction of my career. I'm so happy to say that I have the opportunity to do blogging and social media for a health spa in Mexico (not far from where I live in San Diego). I finally feel like my career is heading in the direction that it's supposed to be. I've been blogging for four years and it's been a tough road, but I'm so glad I stuck with it because it's opened up some really amazing opportunities. This new position will only help me with this blog as well because I'll to be learning more about health and wellness, not to mention social media and marketing. Plus, it's three days a week which will give me more time to work on Bohemian Kate. All in all, I feel like my career aspirations and dreams are finally coming true!
With all that said, this sort of a bittersweet time too because I'll be leaving my current job where I've been for two years. I work with so many fun, cool and awesome people that I'm sad that I won't be seeing them as much. This past weekend a group of about 25 of us went camping up in Big Bear which was a great final weekend with my co-workers. Man, I'm going to miss them!
It was so nice to get away from everything and be in the middle of nowhere. This particular site was a group site so we were away from the main campground which was cool. We had plenty of space as you can see from the photos and we could play our music loud too (very important).
I have so many more camping photos so I'll splitting this post in two. I'm also still working on my new blog design. I've been super busy so it's been on the back burner, but I'm hoping to get it done by this weekend. I cannot wait for the new look. A lot more streamlined which I'm excited about.
Soooo....I hope everyone is having a great 4th! It's cloudy around here, but honestly, I don't mind. We're going on a boat tonight with some friends to check out the fireworks so I'm excited about that. Should be good times...
