I've grown to love jewelry. I never used to wear it that much when I was younger, I found it annoying to put on and excessive. Hard to believe, because I love it so much now and wear it all the time. I'm finding that I like much plainer clothes these days and dressing them up with unique jewelry pieces. I love the look of a black dress or shirt with a delicate necklace, stackable rings and dangly earrings over a top with a loud print. That's just me right now, I tend to go through phases.
Since I'm saving for a wedding and honeymoon, I don't have much money now for shopping. Believe me, I drool over Etsy every chance I get and love finding new designers for when the time comes...but for now, I'm shopping my own jewelry collection. Luckily I have some really cool pieces that I tend to wear over and over again. The turquoise necklace on top used to be my mom's and I wear it almost every day. The peacock earrings were a little purchase from Forever 21, although I've made a pact with myself not to buy jewelry from there anymore. It falls apart very easily and I would rather support independent designers.
The green and yellow necklace I believe I got for my 18th birthday from my mom...I love it, so pretty. The ring is from a company that I used to work for called Strickly Boarding...I completely forgot I had it up until a couple weeks ago. Since then I've been wearing it everyday. Lastly the necklace on the bottom I believed belonged to Athan's grandfather. I find it really unique, very 70s and very bohemian.
So there you have it...my jewelry for the summer. Although I will be getting some other pieces for my wedding. I just ordered my wedding band and I need some other accessories for my dress. Thank god for the Etsy iphone app.
Have a lovely weekend!
xoxo...Kate
